Richard Roberts : Piano : Keyboards : Educator

Over the years, Richard has accumulated 1000s of hours of session and broadcast experience working with the likes of BBC Wales Television, BBC National Orchestra Wales, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Wales Jazz Orchestra, BBC Radio 2 Bigband, BBC Radio 3, S4C, Welsh National Opera, National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, Welsh Jazz Orchestra, Presentable Television and a long list of other notable Independent TV and Media companies.

During the course of his career Richard has performed extensively throughout the UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America, USA, Canada and the Middle East playing alongside many well known artistes such as Charlotte Church, Micheal Ball, Larry Adler, Bonnie Tyler, Sacha Distel, Peter Karrie, Bryn Terfell, Katherine Jenkins, David Soul, Leo Sayer, Toyah Wilcox, Roger Whittaker, Spike Milligan, Shakin Stevens and more recently, Only Men Aloud, the winners of BBC Television's 'Last Choir Standing'.

Richard was invited to join Max Boyce's band in 1989 and over time took on the role of Musical Director. During his time with Max, Richard has performed in hundreds of concerts, international tours and television programs and of course the sell out 'Max Boyce Down Under' televised concert broadcast from the Sydney Opera House Australia.

In addition to everything else Richard can now be found at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff where he teaches Jazz Piano.
